When should I book my first pregnancy visit?
Book as soon as your pregnancy test is positive, ideally by 8 weeks. The first visit confirms the pregnancy, sets your due date, checks blood pressure, haemoglobin, blood group, thyroid and sugar, and starts folic acid and other supplements.
How often are antenatal checkups?
For most pregnancies: once a month until 28 weeks, every two weeks from 28 to 36 weeks, then weekly until delivery. High-risk pregnancies are seen more often.
Do you do normal delivery and C-section?
Yes. We aim for a safe normal delivery whenever possible, and perform planned or emergency caesarean section (C-section) when the safety of the mother or baby needs it, for example a breech baby, placenta problems, a baby in distress or labour that is not progressing. The operation theatre is ready 24 hours.
